The Greater New York Chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) named DMJM Harris as its “2007 Employer of the Year” in recognition of its of its support of diversity and of women in the transportation industry. The honor was presented at the organization’s 11th Annual Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Expo and 28th Annual Meeting on January 8th in New York City.
DMJM Harris senior executive and WTS-GNY member, Ira Levy, P.E., received the award on behalf of the firm. The honor is part of the WTS 2007 recognition awards.
“I’m delighted to accept this award on behalf of the company,” says Levy. “DMJM Harris has long been a supporter of advancing women and minorities within the transportation industry and our receipt of this award certainly reflects our support for this cause.”
The firm’s selection for this honor puts it in the running for the WTS international Employer of the Year Award to be presented at its annual meeting in Atlanta next May. WTS is an international organization dedicated to the advancement of women in the transportation industry and has chapters in the U.K., Canada and the United States.
