Buchanan Street/Eastshore Highway Project Study Report

DMJM Harris (as Korve Engineering) prepared a Project Study Report (PSR) and Fact Sheets to meet California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) regulations. The project called for the realignment and widening of the eastbound exit ramp at Buchanan Street/I-80 and to extend the Eastshore Highway to connect with the Buchanan Street overhead. Once completed, the connection from the Eastshore Highway to Buchanan will allow access to previously landlocked parcels in the city. To accomplish the new connection, DMJM Harris also modified the adjacent Caltrans interchange ramp.

DMJM Harris assisted the City of Albany with the preparation of traffic operation studies, conceptual and preliminary design plans, bridge advance planning studies, and preliminary construction estimates. Approval of the PSR was obtained within a three-month time frame. DMJM Harris is now responsible for the site’s plans, specifications and estimates.
