Planning, Architecture, and Engineering Services for Future New Starts Projects

DMJM Harris was selected to perform a full range of planning and architectural/engineering professional services by WMATA to assist them in developing fixed-guideway projects through all phases—from planning through construction. The projects are major capital investments under the Federal New Starts program and involve various transit modes, including bus rapid transit, light rail transit, and heavy rail.
The contract is based on task orders for specific New Starts initiatives, for which we will provide a wide-ranging scope of services, including project management; public involvement and agency coordination; environmental services; operational and transportation planning; financial planning and cost estimates; engineering; architecture; systems for train controls, power, communications and revenue collection; right-of-way support; and assistance with vehicle selection.
