Airport Groundside Development and Roadway Network, Lester B. Pearson International Airport

Client: Greater Toronto Airport Authority
Project location: Toronto, Canada
Project cost: $270 million
DMJM Harris in a joint venture with UMA Engineering Ltd., completed the design for groundside development at the new Lester B. Pearson International Airport in Toronto. The airport redevelopment consists of two major projects: the new terminal facility, and the groundside development, for which DMJM Harris is responsible. The groundside project consists of all access and circulation roads and bridges; the design of the off-site roadways surrounding and accessing the airport; a multipurpose parking garage with 10,000 parking spaces; all site services and utilities; and associated systems and facilities common to an international airport (including site utilities, landscape architecture, security systems, and signage).
