DMJM Harris is the lead engineering consultant for a landscape architect, serving as the lead consultant for the Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation. We are supporting the development of a comprehensive master plan, environmental impact statement, permitting and complete design for approximately 70 acres of Brooklyn Waterfront that extends approximately 3 miles along the shoreline from just north of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges south to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey pier structures one through six.
Key components of the Brooklyn Bridge Park include new earth mounds with bikeway and pedestrian esplanades throughout the park, kayak/canoe safe water zones, 185 slip marina, boathouses, active and passive recreation areas and hotel/residential facilities.
Our site investigation services includes topographic, location, utility and bathymetric surveys, closed-circuit television inspection of existing utilities, underwater inspection of pier and bulkhead conditions and geotechnical borings. Engineering work includes marine, civil, electrical, plumbing and geotechnical services.
