Your career at DMJM Harris

History

DMJM Harris is one of the major operating companies that comprise AECOM. DMJM Harris recently acquired the JWD Group, Inc. and Entranco.

DMJM Harris’s many years of experience, coupled with the talent of its staff have made the company what it is today: a leader in the transportation and infrastructure industry. That position has been achieved thanks to a diverse pool of experienced professionals, supported by broad resources and financial strength sufficient to handle even the largest projects.

DMJM Harris’s roots are made strong by the long and proud history.

Since 1927, Frederic R. Harris, Inc. had a reputation for the creativity and innovation needed to solve the most complex engineering problems. The company’s key practices were in mass transit, highways and bridges, ports and harbors, airports, water resources, and energy management. The firm designed the first large-scale people-mover system in the United States, patented a number of pioneering techniques for constructing marine facilities, and developed state-of-the-art computer models for analyzing the stability of dams and elevated structures.

In 1946, Daniel, Mann, Johnson, & Mendenhall (DMJM), was the first integrated engineering/architectural firm in the western United States. Originally focused on U.S. military projects, DMJM rapidly expanded both its scope of work and its roster of satisfied clients.

Since 1933, Holmes & Narver served a broad spectrum of federal, state, and local governments, as well as private clients across a wide range of industries. Holmes & Narver has designed, built, and managed the construction of major transportation and infrastructure projects on all seven continents. These included aviation, port, rail, highway, bridge, site development, and water resources projects.
